Kia Silver is the Vice-President and Public
Relations Director of the Good Works
Coalition, Inc.
Kia is a Sales and Marketing professional
with more than ten years of experience in
business to business sales and radio and
Internet advertising. After graduating with
a degree in Broadcast Journalism from
Howard University, Kia worked for several years as a Recruiter and
Manager for one of the world's largest staffing agencies before moving
into Sales.
Working for one of the most popular radio stations in the Washington DC
area, Kia developed radio advertising and wrote commercials for area
businesses before moving into the world of Internet Sales and
Advertising. As a Senior Account Executive with TrueCareers.com, Kia
developed diversity recruitment strategies for Fortune 500 companies.
She currently holds the position of Diversity Staffing Manager for
Freddie Mac.
Kia has been a Mentor to 7th and 8th graders involved in "The Ladies of
Distinction" program for the last two years and enjoys volunteering and
giving back to the community whenever possible.
